LIGHTSPEED FOR MACINTOSH

I began looking for a Point of Sale program for my Apple Solutions Reseller retail business in early 2005. I tried a number of demo packages from both the USA and Australasia and found them both cumbersome and expensive. I finally settled on one based on Filemaker, which I spent a lot of money on and tried to make effective for more than six months. It appeared to have been designed on OS9, which though running on OSX, had few of the benefits of OSX. A mistake!! I was ready to call the whole POS exercise a waste of time and quit before I threw my iMac out the window in frustration when I heard about LightSpeed on a discussion website and tried it. It was so good and so fast I purchased it at Christmas 2006 and became the West Australian reseller as soon as I could.
